Marc Jacobs is to receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremonies on June 6, although he told von Furstenberg that he preferred it be a “half-lifetime” award, seeing as he’s only 47.     I love sporty style and am all about the dressed-up sweatpant, but am still quite certain it’s not appropriate for all professional workplaces. Isn’t a jersey, wrap dress just as comfortable, plus figure flattering and simply more appropriate?
