Happy birthday, 12/2 born marvelous! Before we dig into your Stylescope, let me first say that I am aware of your picky standards, but you can rest assured that with this horoscope I will not try and pull the cashmere over your eyes and offer false flattery. The Style Swami does not play the beau geste card. Besides, when it comes to you, I know better. For instance, look at the incredible cast of innovators you share a birthday with: Guy Bourdin, who shifted perceptions of fashion photography with his leggy imagery; Capucci, a man offering empowerment through fashion design; and the great Gianni, who literally changed how women dressed—not to mention the length of their skirts—in the 1980s. These are people whose strong vision is directly linked to sex appeal, aka power, and you’ve got both in spades, my friend. This year I see you, like your fellow birthdayers, finally connecting the dots between the two and creating an opportunity for yourself. Now, I’m not saying you are destined for a year in a strip bar (though I hear pole dancing creates lovely ‘tocks). For you I see something more PG-13 rated yet capitalizing on the human form. In other words, your destiny lies in creating beauty, and you should get paid for making people look and feel better. So whether your passion lies in styling, writing, visual arts or some kind of retail field, I see an opportunity for you as a consultant of sorts. However! The whole Mercury retrograde thing that moved in last weekend is likely dragging you down, and getting your motivation up is not going to be easy. You’re going to have to make an extra effort to get something going, but I promise you, Sagittarian sweetie, that your hard work will be worth it.
And that’s where your personal style comes in. I want you to treat yourself for something fresh and new early this year, something like a different shirt color or unexpected hairstyle or even a strange lipstick shade that will add some perk to your ‘tude. This little gift to yourself will help reboot your outlook and give yourself the kick in the pants you need to tackle your next venture. And I’m not kidding about this, 12/2ian: I want you to work on pursuing your dream, because I know the universe wants to support you on this. Now shake a leg and/or booty and show me what you’ve got! —The Style Swami
