Happy birthday, almost-New Year’s baby! And when I look at the list of people born on your birthday all I can think is, why would anyone want to be born on any other day?!? (Unless you have an allergy to being wildly talented, successful, beautiful and intelligent, that is.) I’m not embarrassed to tell you that this list is basically a who’s-who from my Green-With-Envy List, and can you blame me? A sampling: Elizabeth, along with Helena Rubinstein, created the entire global cosmetics industry as we know it, Orry-Kelly and Diane are two of the top designers in American fashion history, Beth Levine was a freaking shoe-making genius, and Barbara is one of the most beautiful Bond Girls and 1970s models. Whew! And then there is you, my friend! What is your destiny for the year ahead? Well, like your fellow birthdayers, I see 12 months of hard work as you hone innovative, new ideas. So take heart: If you’ve been feeling slumpish and uninspired of late, the upcoming months will bring a surge of energy, both physical and mental. In other words, now is the time to start journaling, scrap-booking, making lists, vlogging—or however you compile your best ideas—so you will be ready to tackle new projects when your body is.
As for your personal style, I really think you should just go for it in 2011. You are a leader and style innovator, right? Wo why follow trends? I’d like to see you take fashion risks and wear unexpected styles, hard-to-find designers and unusual vintage picks.
